Troop 889 has a history of excellence and service. It was chartered in 1991 with fewer than 15 scouts. The Troop has over 155 Scouts who have earned their Eagle Rank over the years. Troop 889 has been a long time recipient of the National Quality Unit Award.

At present, we maintain a roster of about 80 boys. The current Scoutmaster is Dave Moraski. Steve Ouellette is the Troop Committee Chair. Other adult leaders are listed in the Troop Roster.

Troop 889 meets from 7:00 – 8:15 pm on Monday evenings in the Gymnasium at Wheatland Salem United Methodist Church (WSUMC). Three Fires Council is our Chartering Organization and Wheatland Salem UMC is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of Book Rd. and 95th St. in Naperville, IL.

* There are NO Troop meetings on the 1st Monday of every month – those dates are reserved for the Patrol Leaders Council (PLC) and Board of Reviews (BOR’s) for individual rank advancement.
